Chopper to the rescue

The "ludicrous and unnecessary disruption", as Boris Johnson has called it, has begun - no tubes in London until Thursday night.

Luckily, I have the next two weeks off work - meaning I'm not one of the three million commuters affected.

I've also invested in a Raleigh Chopper - complete with Ladybird bicycle bell - to help me get around during the 48 hours of inevitable panic and confusion.

First stop is South Bank at 6am tomorrow. Apparently the skies will have cleared, meaning there are some nice potential shots of angry-looking commuters to be had. If any turn up for work.

Hopefully they'll be more canoes and skateboards than normal.
